This ride begins from the parking lot of the Carriage House Restaurant
located at 8310 State Highway 73 in Townsend, Tennessee.
40.6 mile ride: Turn
right onto state road 73 and travel into the Great Smoky Mountains
National Park (at 1.1 miles). At the 'Y' (1.9 miles) bear left
onto Little River Road toward
Gatlinburg. At the Sugarlands Visitors Center (mile 20) turn
right onto state road 441 south. Follow state road 441 south to
the Newfound Gap Overlook (13 miles). Bear right onto Clingman's Dome
Road for the final 7.6 miles to the top.
