36.3 mile ride:  Turn left out of the parking lot onto Unicoi Drive.  Follow this road .8 mile to the junction of 107 east - turn left onto state road 107 east. 

Follow state road 107 east into Limestone Cove and turn left onto state road 173 east.  Follow state road 173 east to 19E.  Turn right onto 19E.  Follow 19E into the town of Roan Mountain and turn right onto state road 143 south to the top.

At Carver's Gap (elevation 5512) turn right and ride to the Roan High Bluff.  The road dead ends at a fee station and a parking lot at the top where the elevation is 6151.
